Boreout

Boreout syndrome is a condition characterised by a lack of challenge at work, which can lead to emotional exhaustion, a loss of interest and symptoms similar to those of burnout.
Those affected are burdened by constant boredom, a lack of tasks or work that falls below their skill level, and may consequently fall ill.
Although boreout is often underestimated, it can have serious mental and physical consequences, including depression and social withdrawal.
Typical symptoms include a lack of motivation, ‘mentally checking out’, constant tiredness, headaches, sleep disturbances, cynicism and reduced self-esteem.
Many of those affected also pretend to be busy in order to hide their lack of work, which causes additional stress.

Burnout

the boreout syndrome is a state of occupational underload that can lead to emotional exhaustion, disinterest, and symptoms similar to burnout.

those affected are burdened by persistent boredom, a lack of meaningful tasks, or work that is below their qualification level, and this can lead to illness over time.

Driifloat | 2023

the driifloat system is a modern evolution of the classic floating therapy developed in 1957, but without direct contact with water.

Wet Floating | 1957

the (wet) floating therapy was invented in 1957 by dr. john c. lilly during his neurophysiological research at the national institute of mental health in bethesda, usa.

floating therapy is considered one of the most effective non-medical methods for reducing chronic stress, elevated cortisol levels, and inflammation.

“floating is a method of holistic relaxation for body and mind, completely isolated from external stimuli.”

the term “floating” comes from the english verb to float and means “to hover.” during the process, a person lies in a tank filled with highly saline water (a salt bath), providing enough buoyancy that gravity is barely perceived.

the water temperature is regulated to approximately 35°c (body temperature), making it neutral and non-stimulating.

as a result, all pressure on the body, joints, and muscles disappears. the body experiences deep relaxation as well as profound mental regeneration.

the goal is to minimize sensory input for both body and mind and to reach a state comparable to deep sleep stage 4 or similar highly regenerative states of consciousness.
